Give beauty professionals back
the time they earn.
Independent beauty businesses are run by talented, skilled people — not by administrators. We built Vaelis so that the person doing the work doesn't have to also be a full-time receptionist, scheduler, and bookkeeper. Every feature we ship is measured by one thing: does it give them more time to do what they love?
Our journey
How we got here.
The problem we couldn't ignore
Nail technicians and beauty professionals were running entire businesses from WhatsApp threads, paper diaries, and spreadsheets — constantly double-booking, forgetting reminders, and losing track of clients. We saw it first-hand and knew something had to change.
Building starts
The first version of Vaelis was a rough booking system built in a few weeks. It wasn't pretty, but it worked. We put it in front of real nail techs immediately and let their feedback do the steering.
First businesses go live
A handful of solo practitioners and small salons started using Vaelis in closed beta. Automated reminders, client records, calendar management — the core of the platform took shape through real-world use.
Waitlist opens
We opened the waitlist to hundreds of businesses across the UK. Every conversation taught us something — about how different people run their books, what stresses them out, what they wished existed.
Going live
Vaelis launches publicly. A full booking platform — client portal, staff workspace, automated emails, reporting — built entirely around the way independent beauty businesses actually work.
