Service businesses are run by skilled, talented people — not by administrators. We built Vaelis so that the person doing the work does not also have to be a full-time receptionist, scheduler and bookkeeper. Every feature we ship is measured by one thing: does it give them more time to do what they are good at?
Our journey
How we got here.
The problem we could not ignore
Service businesses — from sole traders to small teams — were running entire operations from WhatsApp threads, paper diaries and spreadsheets. Double-bookings, missed reminders and lost client information were the norm. We saw it first-hand and decided to build something better.
Building starts
The first version of Vaelis was a focused booking system built in a matter of weeks. It was not polished, but it worked. We put it in front of real businesses immediately and let their feedback shape the direction.
First businesses go live
A number of sole practitioners and small teams began using Vaelis in closed beta. Automated reminders, client records and calendar management took shape through real-world use.
Waitlist opens
We opened the waitlist to businesses across the UK. Every conversation gave us a clearer picture of how different service businesses run their operations and what they actually need from software.
Vaelis launches
Vaelis launches publicly. A complete business management platform — client-facing booking, staff workspace, automated communications, reporting and more — built for the way service businesses actually operate.
